If you haven't been following me on LinkedIn, I recently shared some exciting news about my career pivot towards a more marketing-focused path. Yes, I am no longer working full-time at my previous job and am currently on the hunt for new opportunities.

This transition has been a long time coming, and I've been reflecting on my journey with a thought that's been on my mind: "I want to become her, the best version of myself." But this made me thinkā€”why do I feel like I need to achieve something specific to deserve to be her?

Have you ever thought about your best version and how to become that person? Why do we always think, "Oh, one day when I do these things, I will finally be that person"? Why not now? Why not think you are already that person?

This brings us to a fascinating concept about time. Our perception of time is often linearā€”we think of the past, present, and future as distinct and separate. However, brain science and quantum physics offer a different perspective.šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø

In brain science, the concept of neuroplasticity shows that our brains are constantly changing and adapting. This means that our identities are not fixed; we have the power to reshape our minds and, by extension, our lives, at any moment. The brain doesn't distinguish between our 'current' self and our 'future' self as rigidly as we might think!!

By visualizing and incorporating the best version of ourselves now, we can start rewiring our brains to align with that identity.

Quantum physics, on the other hand, challenges our conventional understanding of time. Some interpretations suggest that time might not be as linear as we perceive it. Instead, past, present, and future could be intertwined in ways we don't fully understand. This made me think about DĆ©jĆ  vu!! This means that the future 'best version' of ourselves could already exist in some form, waiting to be realized.

So, why wait? Act as if you are that person now, and let your brain catch up to this reality.

Actionable Steps to Adopt Your Best Self

  1. Set Clear Intentions: Define what being your best self means to you. Is it about being more confident, and compassionate, or achieving specific career goals? Clarity will help you align your actions with this vision.

  2. Adopt a Growth Mindset: Welcome challenges and view setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow. This mindset shift can transform obstacles into stepping stones toward your best self.

  3. Surround Yourself with Positivity: Engage with people, content, and environments that uplift and inspire you. Positive influences can reinforce your belief in your best self and provide the support needed to stay on track. Even if it is something you think you already know, sometimes you need a reminder

  4. Take Small, Consistent Actions: Break down your goals into manageable steps and take consistent action daily. Progress, no matter how small, builds momentum and confidence.

  5. Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself during this journey. Recognize that growth is a process, and it's okay to have moments of doubt. Self-compassion fuels resilience and perseverance.

  6. Celebrate Wins: Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how minor they seem. Celebrating wins reinforces positive behavior and motivates you to keep moving forward!!

Just think about thisā€”the power to become your best self lies within you, right now. Start today, and watch how your reality begins to transform.

Thank you for your patience and continued support. Here's to becoming the best versions of ourselves, right now.

Quote of the week: "Do not wait; the time will never be 'just right.' Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along."
